I’m Bharat Vyas N — a multidisciplinary creative who has spent years moving between film, theatre, photography, and technical production, learning how stories, spaces, and people come together.

Over time, I’ve explored (and often combined) roles such as photographer, lighting designer, stage manager, technical director, A/V technician and production coordinator. My work has taken me across India and internationally, touring as a lighting designer and stage manager through different countries, venues, and cultural contexts. Those experiences have deeply shaped how I approach collaboration, performance, and storytelling.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree in Global Media Studies from the University of Westminster, London, along with professional training in Theatre Arts Technical Production from Humber college in Toronto. This mix allows me to move comfortably between artistic intuition and technical problem-solving — whether I’m behind a camera, lighting a stage, or coordinating a complex production.

I’ve worked across theatre, dance, film, and live events, contributing to projects that require both precision and adaptability. I enjoy being part of environments where creativity meets structure, and where teamwork, curiosity, and attention to detail make all the difference. I was selected as the only participant from Canada for the 2025 ETC Fred Foster Mentorship Program, an experience that has further strengthened my practice and direction in lighting design for live entertainment.

At the core of everything I do is a genuine interest in learning, collaborating, and figuring things out — how light shapes a moment, how images tell stories, and how technology can support creative expression. If there’s a camera to shoot, a stage to light, or a production to bring together, I’m always excited to be part of the process.

I’m currently self-learning Resolume, with the long-term goal of working on larger productions and arena-scale shows as a lighting designer, and I look forward to whatever the next project brings.
